Hello all,

I am currently struggling to choose between the Asus Dual 1060 6GB (£249.99) or the Asus ROG strix 1060 (£294.99) which comes with the new CoD. I am wondering that other than the game, is the ROG Strix better in general than the dual? And why?

The CPU is a Ryzen 2 2600X

Mobo is Asus strix X470-F

8GB DDR4-3000 MHz

PSU RM650X

Or can you offer an alternative for this price range? My max budget for graphics card is £330

Thanks and sorry if this seems silly to you, first time builder here.

You might be able to find a 1070/vega 56 on sale for ~330 as there are some for 360. mabye check a actual store as they often are cheaper. else,

imo 45$ is not worth the upgrade from dual to strix, better save that cash for a better gpu later on.

there looks to be a RX 580 8gb for 212$, or a good 1060 for 230.

Yeah I've got a Fractal Design Meshify C and it fits so that's not the issue.

I wanted to stick with nvidia to be honest as I've always preferred and enjoyed their products more. I've never heard of PNY ], are they good? I wanted to stick with an established good manufacturer such as ASUS or EVGA tio be honest :/

PNY is fine, there is no problem with their cards.

Their cards are perfectly fine.

There is also a Zotac AMP! card for 240$'

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/QVWrxr/zotac-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-amp-edition-video-card-zt-p10600b-10m

and a gigabyte windforce.

That doesn't look too bad, thanks for the heads up.

What do you guys think of this EVGA SC GTX1070 AC 3.0 Black edition for £360? Good deal? I know I said my budget was £330 but an extra £30 for a GTX1070 instead of a GTX1060 seems good.

I probably should have said but I am looking to play Battlefield 1 and V, CS:Go, Dota2, Tomb Raider and possibly AC:Origins.

yeah a 1070 is a big upgrade from the 1060, 500 more cuda cores, 2gb more vram etc. the 1070 ti almost has a full 1000 more cuda cores.

I might get it then, it's from Amazon so it's not really a dodgy vendor and it's new so I think I'm going for that
