Just as a fun experiment I wanted to wait until a day this winter when it's below -20o C and then run a stress test on my laptop outside. I know the HDD won't like it so I'm going to swap in the SSD from my desktop. Other than that I'm not sure what other precautions I should take especially with regard to transitioning it from the warm house to the cold outside and back again, obviously I'm concerned about condensation. Bringing it out I think will be fine but taking it back in I'm not so sure, I was planning on taking it in and then taking off the bottom panel and getting a fan to blow it continuously until it has reached room-temperature all the way through. Is there anything else I should do?

What is actually supposed to go here? Some people put their specs, others put random comments or remarks about themselves or others, and there are a few who put cryptic statements.

That sounds like more trouble than it's worth, risking water damage just for the meme?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I doubt if there will be much condensation if at all. The relative humidity in the house should be quite low when the heater's on and outside is this cold.

When laptop is running its heat output  will definitely keep its insides dry.

Unless you let it touch snow which might melt.

But before bringing it back inside put it into closed bag and let it warm some hours to room temperature before opening bag again.

That way condensation from room air happens to outside of bag.

Relative humidity is bad measure in this case.

What matters is dew point of air.

If that's higher than temperature of object, there will be condensation.

LCD won't like it. Nor does battery. Saying from experience with phones in outside breast pocket while skiing at -15C.

It has no battery. What will the LCD do?

Slow down. Liquid Crystal Display. If you have LED, OLED or AMOLED screen, then its fine.
