OHHHHH MYYYYY GOOOOODNESSSS.

Okay, after my freak out, I'm rather worried about my computer. I have an MSI Z87 G45, and I did the M-Flash thing, and so far it's been going for about 20 minutes... I've heard that a BIOS flash should only take around a minute. What should I do in this situation? Restart? Let it be? I'm scared, this is the first time I've done a BIOS update.

Okay. I'm going to do it. I'm going to press the reset button. Pray for my soul.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

It works, okay, we're good, NOT USING M-Flash Again. Never. Ever. Ever.

I pretty sure they have those warning saying that you shouldn't flash BIOS unless you know what you are doing and that it may take several minutes to flash it. It took maybe 10-15mins to flash on this mobo, can't remember what it took when I did it with floppies.

Lucky you :) You should NEVER restart if you flashing BIOS.

Well here's the thing (and apparently this is a common problem with m-flash): It didn't actually start flashing it. It froze right after I chose the file. I just ended up creating a USB disk and flashed the BIOS that way. Worked like a charm, and it only took a minute or two.

There wasn't really one, no. But it was, like, 20-30 minutes of not even doing anything. It worked out okay though, because it hadn't even started flashing yet.
