So I just finished my 6 month maintenance and threw everything back together and filled the system up again and then started to notice my pump is incredibly loud all of sudden. It's making a kind of slurping noise which I'm pretty sure is air getting into it but doesn't make sense since the inlet tube is full other than 1 or 2 small bubbles. Is my pump broken? What could the issue be?

Stupid as it sounds, jiggle the tubes, and then the case. Not too much, though. If that doesn't work, LIGHTLY tap the pump for a little bit.

flip your pump around upside down, slap it around, shake it etc.

abuse the fuck out of it until it works right, I'm talking domestic violence status.

trust me I've had similar issues before

Can't tell if serious... And also I don't wanna have to drain the whole thing again -_-

xD No problem. Never done a watercooled build, but I still know a thing or two about it. Weird.

It will take afew days to cycle the air out of the system, which causes alot of noise. What you can do is ensure that the fill port caps a tightened. Also, a silly question I know...but you didn't run the pump when it was dry? Even for afew seconds can damage it. Also if you removed the pump from the case, just check to see if its vibrating. It could be residual noise and not the pump itself. See how you go with the bleeding of the air from the system. You could always try bleeding the coolant and adding it back in with a large syringe...this way eliminates the air alot better. Good luck, but I doubt its the pump as the D5 is a good pump.

Yeah it ended up just being the air in my loop. I was confused because the first time I filled my loop 6 months ago I didn't hear those sounds but after a good shake a lot of bubbles came loose and the pump fell quiet. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: And no I never ran my pump dry lol
