What monitor resolution/refresh rate?

If it's only 1080p 60hz you don't need a GTX 1080

Go for the ASrock Pro4 or MSI Tomahawk B450 boards, that one lacks a VRM heatsink.

So I have been saving up my money for a while now and under that time learning everything I could find about computer. And now I finally got the money for it but when I was sure what parts to buy I discussed it whit my dad I wasn't so sure anymore. He thinks that I should buy a 1tb m.2 ssd instead of a 2tb hard drive which cost much more. And  he pointed out that I might wanna switch my Ryzen 5 2600 to a intel processor. I will be using my computer for gaming, programming and web browsing and i won't be overclocking any part.

cpu: Ryzen 5 2600 whit included cooler.

Ram: Corsair vengeance lpx ddr4 2666mhz 16gb

MotherBoard: MSI B450M PRO-VDH

Gpu:MSI GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR

Case: Corsair 280x

PSU: Corsair CX650M 650W

M.2 sdd: Kingston A1000 480GB

This is my current build, if you would change something what would you? And should I change the CPU?

intel is much better for gaming. amd compiles code faster. Depends whats more important to you. I like ryzen for productivity, but again, if you'll primarily be using it for gaming, I'd go for intel

I would not get an armor gpu because they have problems overheating, and, if you want a better gaming performance and dont plan on streaming, then an intel cpu would be better, but it doesn't really matter. A good intel processor for your budget would be an i5 8400, as well

PC: CPU: i5-9600k - CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 - GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 - Motherboard: ASRock - Z370 Extreme4 - RAM: Team - T-Force Delta RGB 16 GB DDR4-3000 - PSU: Corsair - TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply - Case: Thermaltake - Core G21 TG

While the R5 2600 is 'slower' than the i5 8400 in gaming it's still perfectly capable and since the OP's CPU is basically brand new it wouldn't make sense to something like this. In hindsight buying the i5 8400 at first would have been a better purchase.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I don't think the op has bought his parts yet:

@cookiebeast99 Also, you may wanna swap out the 1080 for a 1070 or something because it is quite pointless pairing a 1080 with a 2600, and the extra money could go towards faster ram, a better psu, or a better cpu
