i would say mother board.. of your stuff is plugged into it and they wont turn on, there is no power getting to them. i would suggest examining it to see for any scratches, chips, cracks, breaks, etc. also try tightening it, the cords mey not be plugging in, but more halfway plugging it in and pusing the board away (it has happened to my friend before)

When I turn on the switch (at the plug point), the keyboard glows for a faint moment (like half a second) so there is some power getting to them?

if it is lighting up and then doing dark, ther is definitely some power getting to it, but it loses it. what motherboard do you have?

Idk, its a prebuilt that I upgraded with a gt 1030

i see. are you sure you did not damage anything when you upgraded it? or did you accidentally knock something loose? i suggest going through and pushing everything in place. including the cords

Your PSU may not provide enough power to the board, it will be good to provide PC specs so we know what we're working with.

oh yeah because it was a prebuilt that was upgraded. most prebuilts have a PSU to supply what it has, most need a new one when upgrading (as far as i have seen)

Best would be to know what PSU model is as it could be the reason (could be not). You can see the model name when you open your side panel of the case.

Doesn't matter if it worked for 10 seconds or 10 years, if the PSU is weak or old not suited for newer components one electrical disruption and it's out.

I had the exact same problem with a prebuilt PC that I upgraded back then with a 750ti. What was wrong with mine was the power supply didn’t have enough power for the system with this new card, so obviously I bought it a new one it work perfectly until I built my own PC and forgot the other one XD.

As @m6u3 said clearly your problem is the PSU, consider buying a new one that will be sufficient enough for your system.

I can't find full information about this PSU, but from what I can see it's not sold widely and it's really old. I only see a 280W variant which speaks for itself why your PC don't work properly.

Consider looking at this Tier list and get one. If you need help with the choice don't hesitate to ask ! Good luck

Edit: If it's a prebuilt system can you even take the PSU out or it's part of the Case ?

How much watt PSU will I need to run my system then?
Also, I looked up the PSU and its around 180. So I guess the PSU was the problem.

Should I try removing my gpu and running the system to verify?

Tell us what prebuilt it is, first. Which brand? Which model? Not all prebuilts accept standard power supplies. Also, does it work without the 1030?

If the new PSU won't fit in the case, you could always run it outside of the case with case panel off. Ugly yes and I'd only advise doing it temporarily. But it should give you an opportunity to see if you can get the PC up and running for the time being until you can get a proper case.

Then try that. Also, a lenovo prebuilt is about as useful as saying your computer is black. Model number please ;)

550W PSU will be good for your build.
Depends on what is your budget you will be always in safe hands with Seasonic Focus PLUS gold 550W

You could try removing it, and it may come on as it won't need to charge the card but it's not safe to use your pc like that whatsoever.

I  managed to start up the pc but it would not boot into windows , whenever i chose start windows normally, it would just restart.
So I booted into a  windows' mode (there was an option to fix windows on startup or something, I cant remember the name rn) and ran a memory diagnostic, I don;t know what happened during the diagnostic , maybe it fixed some HDD issue but anyways the PC restarted and has been working just fine since. I guess it was a hard drive issue?

Also, thanks everyone for helping
