Is this an okay build for around 6.5K?

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/HsQRq4

I’ve put the 2080 as 2K just to be safe.

I’m open to new suggestions, and I’m happy to hear others opinion.

I’m mainly posting this because I saw someone with around the same budget, but with 2 way SLI 1080 ti’s. I need a monitor included in the price though...

This PC is going to have to last me a long time, and it’s for gaming.

'My mango is to blo up, den akt lik i don no nobudy HAERHAERHA'

If I'm on this forum, I'm prob in school with my mac messing around with @RFK . Otherwise I'm playing on my beefy PC my dad bought me...                                                                                             2080ti PC GIVEAWAY

Do you really need $300 worth of RGB fans and a $260 case?

the 8086k is nice if you want to have something special, but it's just like a 'good' 8700k. you can overclock a 8700k with that kind of cooling as far as (or sometimes further then) that 8086k. also, why are u using an external harddrive? get yourself an internal WD or Seagate with like 4 tb. and some stuff is really expensive, do you really need that?

Lol not really. Before I say anything else I just wanna worship your profile picture. Rn I’m probably gonna cut down on a lot of useless things.

32gb of ram is unnecessary, just upgrade it when you need more than 16gb of ram.

the 8086k is nice if you want to have something special, but it's just like a 'good' 8700k. you can overclock a 8700k with that kind of cooling as far as (or sometimes further then) that 8086k. also, why are u using an external harddrive? get yourself an internal WD or Seagate with like 4 tb. and some stuff is really expensive, do you really need that?

Okay, I’ll prob get the 8700. I’m gonna use the Samsung as main SSD, and the external to use for stuff I don’t use anymore. Its probably still better to get internal drive. Thanks for the feedback!

Thermaltake is a pretty scummy company AFAIK, I'd go for the Enthoo Evolv X. I have the Evolv and it's amazing, and the new X one is basically that but with better RGB and they fixed the airflow problems, it still keeps the massive open layout and all them nice looks. And for the CPU just get an 8700K like the other guys said and OC that, 8000K series chips seem ezpz, I barely know how to OC but I just set the voltage and multiplier on my ASUS Prime Z370 board and boom, my 8600K is at 5GHz no problemo.

you won't notice the difference much if you're not doing 4k editing/rendering, the 860 evo would do just fine. no need for a full tower case.

This is your third post already with the same build...

If you are serious about this pc (which I doubt):

You are better off spending like 1.5K and then upgrade every 2 years or so.

Why full tower? Unless you're running an eATX mobo or some absolutely insane balls to the wall custom water-cooling, the Enthoo should fit it. It's a pretty big case, especially if you don't use the 3 optional HDD slots and just use the 2 in the PSU basement.

If you're getting most parts RGB, get your cpu cooler RGB as well. Something like Thermaltake Flow 360.

Monitor wise, I'd get an Alienware AW3418DW. It's also 2k but can be overclocked to 120hz and has RGB lighting.

People already mentioned the internal HDD instead of external.

32gb of ram is really not needed but if you want it to look cool with all slots populated than why not.

Power supply wise, I'd get the best there is now and keep it for the future 2, 3 or even 4 upgrades or builds. My psu is about 8 years old, has seen 3 upgrades and is working properly.

Case. Everyone has their own taste. I like full tower and super tower cases. It's very easy to work in them and cable management is easy.

Cpu. I see no reason to overpay for a limited edition cpu if an almost identical, mainstream one can be had much cheaper. So 8700k is more than enough and can be easily overclocked if needed.

Motherboard. For this kind of system I'd recommend a high end one with all the bells and whistles and as much warranty as possible. Brand wise, whatever is more aesthetically pleasing to eye and/or better suited for the build color wise.

SSD. nVME is better than sata, so Samsung PRO nVME drive is recommended.

Just my humble opinion.

Isn't the 970 Pro NVMe?

Here's the build I've gotten with all the replies.

Yes, the 970 pro is nVME.

It's one of two monitors with IPS panel and ability to do 120hz.

The other monitor is Acer Predator X34 Pbmiphzx. When I bought my Alienware monitor Acer did not have this.

Do not buy that slow 5400rpm HDD, get a 7200rpm drive.
