Randomly Happened?

So Ive had my own router/modem for about a year or so. Its a Netgear one. And all of sudden randomly around 3am the internet shut off, came back on after an hour or so, and I had to set up my Netgear wifi and everything? new password and new wifi name. It was just like the very first day I bought it. What the heck is up with that? Please help I feel like Ive been hacked seriously!

ISP might have rebooted it. The fact is because it has a modem in it, The ISP has some level of control. Its like my SB6141 modem, Comcast can send firmware and new config files to the modem, and the modem my restart as a result. Its a little interesting that your router config was cleared, but its a good possibility that the ISP sent something up to the modem.
