Overheating?

Hi, I have a laptop that is heating up very fast around the top left of the keyboard and if I lift it up I can feel where it was sitting just by the heat. Should I have this looked at.

What Bleedblue said. Laptops run hot, but depending on how high the actual numbers are can tell us if it's within acceptable realms or not

Download a programm called HWmonitor. That'll give you the temperatures and realtime specs on all your components.

Its a school computer. The only thing I can give you is that its a Dell Latitude 3189

I've also realize that the cpu is at 100%. That has something to do with it right. 86% is google with 10 tabs open

Well, yeah.

 

I wouldn't worry too much about My university had free tech support, if yours has too, you could take advantage of that to clear your mind of any worries.

probably needs a software and hardware cleaning, but it's a school laptop so i guess you really shouldn't do much other than close unused programs.
