Dropbox API for Auto Uploading from App

I'm working on an app for my robotics team. In order to pull scout data from members phones, I thought to use Dropbox to store the files. We would like if we could get the app to pull the text data from the scouting app and upload it automatically into a Dropbox folder. Is there an API and the best API to do this with? This would be easier than manually taking the data from each phone and would be much faster. We are developing with Apples Swift on their xCode program and Android Studio in Java. Thanks
