PC Build suggestions

Hello everyone, I am brand new to this forum

I'm building a budget pc in about 5-6 months

I have thought of a build but I haven't built a pc before

So I need your suggestions to tweak the build and make it the most efficient. You can even suggest a new build if you want as long as it fits in the budget. (500~550$)

Please remember the prices are as per newegg.com

I am looking to see in amazon, mdcomputers and anything else you peeps may suggest. I an also kind of a geek about computers if anyone was interested. Thanks for reading this.

My previous PC, I am trying to salvage a few parts to my next build. The PC itself is 7 years old (PSU is about 5 years old. My old one burned due to a short-circuit. Storage is WD Blue 1TB about a year old. My last one was a WD Blue 500Gb which got a bad sector. Now my PC isn't working due to the mobo being gone or the ram. Most likely Mobo.)

I will miss this PC so much, I have enjoyed a lot of games and memories of my childhood with this pc.

Mobo - Gigabyte H61M-DS2

RAM - 4 GB (One is a Kingston. I'm not sure about the other)

PSU - Intex 450W (Not Modular)

Storage - WD Caviar Blue 1TB

OS - Win 7 ultimate 32 bit

Cooler - Stock

My future build---

CPU - Ryzen 2400G

GPU - (Later) ASUS Expedition 1050Ti or a 1060 6GB Model (haven't decided which model, please leave your suggestions)

Mobo - Asrock AB350M Micro-ATX

RAM - G. Skill Ripjaws 2x4gb (8GB)

PSU - Corsair VS650 (For Future Graphics Card)

Storage - Samsung M.2 Evo 250 GB SSD

Case - Corsair Carbide Spec-01

Parts I plan to reuse - - -

Storage - WD Blue 1TB

RAM - My 2x2 gb ram sticks (both are from different companies. Also I'll use them if they work)

Please leave your tweaks and suggestions to the build. You can even suggest your own build as long as it stays within the budget. My PC is not working due to that mobo/ram thing and I'm not getting that from fixed because I'm buying a new pc now. Also please don't troll. I'm really sorry for the long post and need help with the build.

Also can somebody give me a suggedtion on a good dual channel 3000MHz ram?

Get an r5 2600 and better psu (e.g. Cx/cxm grey sticker). I'd also recommend the focus g case instead. also, which specific ssd is that?

Those are ddr3 so unfortunately won't work the new pc that needs ddr4

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

He's planning to add the GPU later, sooo a 2600 wouldn't really work.

If you're choosing between a 1050ti and a 1060  6gb, get the 1060. There really is no contest.

Also your old RAM won't be reusable.

Just make sure the that VS power supply doesn't have the grey sticker.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Thanks for the Quick Response. The SSD is SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 250GB PCIe Gen3. X4, NVMe 1.3 64L V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V7E250BW.

Also FYI, My old monitor is good right now so I'm planning on using that now.

I forgot to mention that I am adding a GPU later, that is why I am buying 2400G and not a standalone CPU.

i suggest a Ryzen 3 2200g.. here is an image..as you can see.. the 2200g has almost the same performance at way less $.. it is 38% cheaper and a 23% better value

Sorry to hear that bad luck dude...

I would recommend the 1060 6gb gpu vs the 1050 ti. It's better and can do some 1080p gaming. Go ahead and get that. You'll also want to used dd4 ram, the ddr3 simply isn't compatible so you'll need to get something newer.

Thanks for the Quick response. I will look into it. I am also planning on doing some light video editing and stuff (starting a YT Channel). Will there be a majordifference when I use it for workload or with a GPU?

Thanks for the Quick response. Thank you for the suggestion. Do you have any suggestions for a model like EVGA or ASUS? I will also check if the other ram is a ddr4

EVGA has some great products and they have the best customer service. Asus is good, but they do tend to be a little more pricey. You can shop around for one though and might find a good deal.

Personal choice: EVGA.

you could always go for a GTX 1060 3gb.. it is cheaper but also is better than the 1050ti (if i remember correctly) this is controversial but i suggest it

I agree definitely a 1060, but the 6gb is WAY better than the 3gb. He should go hunting for the 6gb if he has the time.

hmm, i would say it would not make a HUGE difference... however i am kinda new to this (only been into pc building for a few months) so i would say somebody else would be a better choice to ask.. but i do know that i can edit in Sony Vegas 15 on a 2.16GHz celeron and intel hd graphics petty well.. make sure you message me your channel when you start it so i can check it out :)

that is true... the 6gb is way better, but if you are on a tight budget the 3gb would be sufficient until further upgradability is available to him. of course, if he can afford a 6gb then definitely get that.. but i am just saying if it is not possible to get a 6gb at the moment.. then a 3gb would be a better pick over a 1050

I'm buying the graphics card later so I can be patient and earn the money

Then I can buy 1060 6gb. Besides to 2400g is a capable processor. It will surely keep me satisfied till then.

Just re-read how you will be savings for a few months, and if you are gaming and want longevity can I PLEASE suggest you get a 1070 over the 1060? It's only $30 usd more than the 1060.

After that the 1070ti is over $100 usd more than the 1070.

So if you are more of on a budget, PLEASE get the 1070 over the 1060 for the small price difference.

May I ask what currency you are using? I can maybe help suggest some more cards.

Hopefully I will be able to save that much, never thought of buying a 1070,only till a 1060

I am using Indian Rupees by which standards the 1070 prices are a bit too crazy. About 38074 Rs. (about 523 USD) which is like my budget right now. I would like to wait for a while and decide if I can save up that much. I'm just going to college so its not really that easy.
