Hey guys! My brother was looking to add some ram to his build.

I suggest Corsair because it's extremely reliable from my experience, but I keep seeing G Skill pop right in the same neighborhood price wise.

I'm just wondering, why does G Skill have lower ratings across the board and why? Are they prone to failure? This is just a curiosity questions, thanks guys.

Oh I completely forgot to mention how it's the Trident kit that are the most common. He was wanting to know if he should save 20 bucks when choosing between Corsair and G Skill. I think I'll just give him the $20 and get something more reliable like Corsair lol.

Bruh, get ur self trident z rgb or corsair vengeance pro rgb. Both have a shit load of rgb and look really good. I've never run into any issues with them(3200mhz and 3000mhz).

I personally prefer corsait tho, because they are beatiful af

I have white corsair vengeance RGB sticks and I can only agree. I was just asking because my brother does not make as much money as I do since he is in uni. But f**k it, I'll give him the $20 to cover the difference lol.

I have Trident Z RAM running at 3200MHz C16 and they haven't given me any problems at all. If I remember correctly, it's the Trident Z RGB sticks that have issues with Ryzen and having the SPD overwritten when changing the RGB lights.

Must be something they're doing manufacturing correctly with the RGB. It's not like the ratings are horrible! They're usually just a high mix of 5 star ratings and 1's.

Thanks for the input. He wants RGB so we'll stick to the corsair.
