Where are the browns?!?

I am trying to get my first mechanical keyboard, and I type quite a bit for school, but I also play games. I have been trying to find keyboards with Cherry MX Brown switches, but I seem to be coming up short. I don't want to spend a lot of money on this keyboard, and I don't care too much for RGB lighting (although I would like it to be backlit). I don't really have a preference between TKL and not, and I seem to find no price difference between the two. I would like a nice quality keyboard (so not super budget, but not K95 Platinum prices), and preferably with a metal backplate. I am also not sold on MX Browns specifically, and I don't mind getting equivalents. If anyone has seen anything like this, I'd love to hear of it!

My Logitech G610 has an MX Brown variant and it appears to be a decent keyboard for you. It has backlit keys in white (even light effects) and a wheel on the top right for volume control, but it doesnt offer a metal casing (entirely plastic).

Buy a Logitech G710+, I got mine for $70 CAD and it's a great keyboard for both typing and gaming. It's also not that loud because it uses o-rings.

The KM780 by G.Skill is usually quite cheap with MX Browns. I think they're usually around $70.

G710+ are discontinued so it's hard to find one anymore. I couldn't find one at all; which is why I settled on a G610 Brown for 90 CAD.

I got mine from Staples Canada, and they still sell it. Not sure if that's the case in all regions.

Guess not in Vancouver. I waited for my G610 from Canada Computers for more than a month. Eventually cancelled my order and ordered it off Amazon for the same price.

brown is ok for gaming or something that doesn't involve pressing them repeatedly multiple times, I got the daskeyboard 4 and tried both in the store and the blues felt waaaaay better to type

this keyboard looks just like a regular keyboard, no weird lights or stuff like that, it comes with the standard music keys and a volume control

 

bad thing is that the feet kept popping out so I had to glue it to the keyboard, no worries since I never use my keyboards without it

 

gamers usually look for red switches
