Hi! I'm thinking about buying a high-end gaming PC, I'm aiming at 1440p 144hz gaming (Rainbow Six:Siege, Battlefield 1, PUBG, and a few others).

I already have the monitor (Samsung - C27HG70 26.9" 2560x1440 144Hz Monitor) . I live in switzerland. My budget is around 2500USD (+/- few hundred).

What do you think about this build?

Any suggestions?

Should get a case with a mesh front so you actually have airflow

20 series comes out in like 4 days so there might be a price drop coming for the 10 series, though they seem to have made it so that won't happen.

You could probably save $500+ on the PC itself and still be fine as those parts are usually not the best value ones. certainly the best performing though.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Thank you for your reply!

Could you suggest a case thats big enough for the card and the cooler?

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you meant by save $500.

You could save money with an R5 2600 + GTX 1070ti/1080 and still have a perfectly fine PC, also why the 1TB SSD?

Fractal Focus G, Mesh C, or a Coolermaster Master box 5 or case 5 with a mesh front

Buy smaller second SSD for system (up to 250 GB) and leave that 1TB for games and other stuff. It will be much easier for creating full system image / backup (without games).

You  can just partition 250GBs off of the 1TB SSD to do that

The SSD is because its kind of in the budget.

I'm not so sure if i can get 144fps in 1440p with 1070 ti

the 1070ti/1080 are fine at 1440p for higher fps. just drop a few settings like Shadows or AA, they're just sometimes half the price of the 1080ti.

And you end up with a whole lot more storage assuming you get a 500GB SSD and a 2TB hard drive instead of one big SSD naturally.

If I'm about to spend money on a PC and I dont really want to touch on of its main part in a few years, and i want that 144fps constantly without any problem.

If the 1080ti is twice the price of a 1070ti or 1080, that's not exactly worth it as it's not going to have twice as much performance.

In addition the 20 series comes out on the 27th now I guess, and has all the new features and what not. The RTX 2080 is probably the one that'll fit your budget.
