Where i reside

So my parents fought and my mom made us stay at our grandmothers house and my dad resided at our house 

Since my pc and printer is there doing schoolwork will be really hard and I have to 

ask my friends in group works to basically carry me

should I just stay and have a hard time or should I ask if I can stay at home to help with the homework and to make it easier

it depends on your relationship with your parents. Do you have a good relationship with your dad? Would it make your mother unreasonably angry? 
Why don't you ask your Dad/Mom to bring the pc and printer over to your grandmothers if they're yours, or visit to do work when you need to. Just keep in mind how delicate the situation is on how/when you ask.

Agreed - you have to be mindful of the situation (Eg: did they just get into a big fight, or did he do something, like hit her or cheat?)

 

But, on the other hand, you need to do your homework.

 

@Txe I would simply tell you mom "Hey mom I know we're in a tight situation right now, but I need to do a bunch of school work that requires my computer and printer. If we're going to be here a while, can we bring them over here?"

 

Something like that would let your mom know that you're concerned about her and her situation, but at the same time, you have a need that isn't being fulfilled, but there's an easy solution.
