Google sites not working on cloudflare dns

Hi guys,

I changed my DNS to 1.1.1.1 in my router when it was announced and it was working fine but recently  google websites(youtube,gmail,etc) wouldnt load, other websites work fine.So using a VPN,I looked for solution and there is a cloudflare diagnostic webpage but it also wont load with 1.1.1.1 dns.I've changed it back to google's dns and everything works fine.I really want secure cloudflare connection rather than sketchy google.Any idea why this happening?

 

P.B-installed vpn after issues started happening,running firefox on windows 10,havent changed any network settings or hardware.

I would not recommend using Cloudflare DNS at this point. I'd recommend sticking to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Using 1.1.1.1 won't make your connection any more secure than using 8.8.8.8.

 

I've had issues with it where it's returning the incorrect IP address for Google's servers, possible caused by DNS poisoning or a BGP hijack.
