Ryzen + Radeon looks to be the way to go for Canada on the part picker at least. RX 580 is cheaper than the 1060 6GB and gives you free-sync savings on say a 1080p 144hz monitor. An R5 2600 will be fine for gaming even if the i5 is a bit faster I don't think it's worth the price increase and loss of multi-threaded performance.

My temps when gaming for cpu and gpu are usually around 60c MAX

CPU overclocked at 4.6 ghz at 1.2v

GPU at stock

Fan speed at 60 percent

Should I increase fan speed????

There's nothing wrong with your temps being at 60C?

+1

There is no reason for him to change his current thermaltake watercooler for a noctua or a quad lumi, it is just waste of money, as 60c is very normal for a 120mm watercooler.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

But out of the two which is better???

The giant Noctua cooler for $10 more, those coolers will be about equal, 120mm AIOs are usually never worth it.

Just keep your current cooler.

Both the quad lumi and your current cooler perform about the same, but quad lumi looks better and has less points of failure, so i would say that is better, but temps would stay the same.

To start why are you asking which is better?

You already own the 120mm water cooler yes?

Yes, and I am curious and also my friend is building pc so he wants to know which one is better thats why. Thanks tho

So what's your friend's current part list and budget and what does he need the PC for? That AIO is horribly overpriced, and that air cooler seems overpriced as well.

Watercooler can leak, it's pump can die etc etc. On the aircooler only the fans can die, and that is a simple fix.

If you want a nice rgb cooler get the Deepcool Gammax GT (if you can find it for 35$ it is a good deal) or if you just want a high performance cooler at the cost of the design get the Noctua one.

Or if he wants a watercooler get atleast a 240mm one from corsair.

He should probably be buying an R5 2600 + RX 570/580 for a much better value PC, is he also in canada? What's the budget for the PC? What case and form factor? ATX or ITX?
