psu overload

If i keep splitting my molex adapters will I overload my psu so far I have split 2 Molex into 6 3pin fan connectors with a ram fan passthrough and I'm planning on splitting one of the 2 Molex into 4 to power an L.E.D. Light strip and more fans its a 400W psu

As long as you don't draw over the limits on the rails then you're fine. Keep in mind though, it may say 397w or something on the 12v rail but that isn't necessarily true.

Can you explain what you mean by "overdraw the rails"

By "overdraw the rails" he means to make sure that you dont asking for more power than the PSU can deliver.

Shouldn't be a problem really, LED strips barely draws power (>1w). Splitting off cables via adapters is also fine, a single molex connector is probably capable of supplying around ~50w, if not more.

Ok great. All I have left to hook up now is the led strip and a new CPU heatsink with duel fans. which i still have to purchase. ")

If you have a good PSU, it should be able to deliver more power than it is actually rated for, not continuously, though.

Post your whole system so we can see how much power you are actually using.
