no, but not a good idea if you already bought the 1070 and cant get your money back

not looking to overclock but i will upgrade to a 1440p or a 4k in the next 6 months or so if i can find a deacently priced one

Bottleneck heaven. The 1080 might perform worse in practice than the 1070, worst case scenario. I'd leave it.

Bottleneck heaven. The 1080 might perform worse in practice than the 1070, worst case scenario. I'd leave it.

ok i will stick to buying the 1070 then. 

 

and i know they might not come down but i have found a pretty good deal for a 1070 and thought it might come down a little more after turing dropped so i will wait

Yeah, like I said, prices won't come down. The cards will simply sell out and disappear.
