Device Manager Drivers Not Updated

Go to solution Solved by NelizMastr,

Disk drives, ACPI, IDE, and CPU never get updated. They are built-in drivers. Network adapter driver is on your motherboard manufacturer's website.

Thanks to the help from this forum, I was able to build my first build. After installing Windows 10, I decided to download the drivers. I'm using Asrock b450m pro4 mobo, so went to the site and grabbed the following drivers:

  • AMD all in 1 with VGA driver ver:17.40.3765-WHQL *Ryzen 2000 Series APUs(Raven Ridge)
  • Realtek high definition audio driver
  • Realtek Lan driver ver

Later, I found out that the AMD site provides with the most up-to-date drivers, so I went there and downloaded the following drivers:

  • Graphics
  • Ryzen 2600x CPU (Ryzen Master; it seems like an overclock utility or something)
  • Chipsets

A lot of the drivers seem to be updated now, but some of the drivers listed in the device manager hasn't been updated yet:

  • ACPI x64-based PC (not sure what the hell does it mean)
  • disk drives(1 SSD and 1 HDD; still using the drivers in 2006)
  • system firmware
  • IDE/ATA controllers
  • network adapters (2015)
  • Processors (2009)

So I'm not sure what to do. Do I have to do something manually after this? I did have found someone saying I have to manually update the IDE and SATA drivers but I'm not sure how.

Another question is, while downloading the drivers, a lot of folders like C:\AMD and C:\Program Files\AMD were created. Can I just erase them now?

Thanks in advance :)

@NelizMastr Thank you, sir. I think I did update the network adapter driver using the one provided in the mobo site, but maybe I have to try again.
