Hi! Hope y'all are doing well.

I've been using a Acer laptop for about 5 years now, and it's time for an upgrade. I've been looking around on Youtube and Google for a new laptop and remembered that it might be a good idea to ask other people for suggestions. And thus I'm writing this post :)

What am I going to use it for?

Well, I want the laptop to be sleek so it's easy to take with me to school and such, but also powerful enough to do some light video encoding and 3D rendering. Also gaming (this is not as important, but I imagine it can do it with the hardware that can support the other uses :)). There's not really a budget, but try to keep it reasonable.

Thanks! :)

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

Are you sure it will be enough? It only has a 8250U. In my statement "powerful enough to do some light video encoding and 3D rendering. Also gaming" I was thinking something with a GPU (my mistake for not being more clear). For example: I'm looking at the Dell XPS 15 9570 with a 8750H and a GTX 1050.

Sorry, my lazy gene just made me stop reading at sleek.

Here's some with 1050ti :

Dell XPS 15

Gigabyte Aero 14

Acer Aspire VX15

Lenovo Legion Y730

Asus TUF Gaming FX505

Around 2.5 KG, enough to get through a 7 hour day of light use, Denmark and around $1800.
