Except for "midtones" in TNs look of colour can vary notably depending on where at screen you're looking at.

Now those are sure some twisted images!

 

Here's another example.

Just look at relative brightness of image between bottom, mid and top of screen in different LCD panel monitors:

Rarely see monitor "reviews" using pictures actually fit for actual testing viewing angles.

Most of used pics are ideal for hiding viewing angle deficiencies.

 

Just shifting position in chair, like leaning backwards/forward can change colours in TN monitor.

Basically even crappiest CRT has light year better viewing angles.

 

If manufacturers had been actually interested about image quality they would have scrapped TNs and put all R&D money to other panel techs.

Sure IPS isn't without it's challenges, but "A-TW" filter would correct it's biggest.

While VA's higher contrast comes at expense of "black crush"/gamma shift.
