I am going to build myself a new PC, but I don't actaully know if I can get a good GPU for it. The PC is gonna be used for lots of stuff, but I want to pair it with 1080p 144Hz FreeSync monitor (Asus MG248QR is the monitor I want to get).

I chose those parts for now:

MB: Asus Prime X470-Pro

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

RAM: TeamGroup Delta 2x8GB DDR4 3000MHz

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite ML240L

SSD: 240GB ADATA GAMMIX S11 M.2 2280 NVMe (it's cheap and has some great speeds)

HDD: 3TB Toshiba P300

PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus SSR-750FX 750W Gold

Case: Cooler Master Master CASE 5

Case Fans: 2x Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 120 Air Pressure and 1x Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 120 AirFlow

I don't play demanding games (actually I don't have the time to do so), I play only LoL and CS:GO on which I want to play as smooth as possible (to use that 1ms 144Hz monitor with FreeSync). I'm thinking of RX580 or Vega 56, but I think it's overkill for LoL and CS:GO. Also any suggestions on the rest of the parts are appreciated.

RX580 is not overkill because it's going to be an average of 150fps for LOL.

I would personally suggest the RX580 8gb. Yes it's overkill for what you're playing right now, but you'll never know which games you want to play next. PUBG for example would require an RX580 if you want to utilize your 1080p@144hz.

If you live in the US, here is a good card to buy

I sometimes play other games (GTA V, Doom, etc), but the idea of the build is to run only LoL and CS:GO. So RX580 is a good solution for LoL and CS:GO at 1080p 144Hz ?

I live in Bulgaria :D

I see, well yeah. The RX 580 is a good solution for LoL and CS:GO at 1080p@144hz. I'd really suggest that you get the 8gb variant :D

I recommend the RX580. That's what I'm putting into my kid's PC, for the same reason.

I'm dropping in a Ryzen 2600 though, because he doesn't need a 2700X for gaming, and I can overclock it to get some damn good numbers with a Dark Rock Pro 3.

Good pick on the PSU, by the by. That's my go-to power supply.

is there anything you do on this PC that would require a 2700x?

I don't want to buy a new CPU in the next 3-4 years + I will use the PC as a workstation and hosting some files, PhotoShop and so on. I know that 2700X is too much for gaming, but I will be pushing it hard, so yeah, thats why I am getting a 2700X and not an i5 or 2600.

So then it will be the RX580 8GB version by Asus (cuz Asus Aura)

I chose this PSU, because another member here suggested it to me. 750W Gold and fully modular sounds great for 100 bucks :)

It's not just that. Gold, bronze, titanium, whatever. That's the power efficiency - how much you spend a year on electricity, and how much power gets lost with the components getting hot.

This thing is just constructed very well at the component and circuit level, and is one of the better 750W power supplies out there because of it.
