VCCIN voltage??

Can I ask if you can lower the VCCIN voltage would this in theory lead too lower temps even if the temps are just marginally lower.

Yes and no. Yes because temperature does drop, no because the Vcore will uncontrollably drop at the same time (which is largely where the temperature drop comes from) as the FIVR fails to deliver more Vcore. It's like expecting someone to run further without giving him water, he can only go so far.

Well I'm in the process of OC my 7820x which is set at 4.9ghz on all cores AVX instructions -4 VCore 1.26v Mesh at 3.2Ghz at 1.1v. From what I have been reading people say that if you want to set the VCCIN manually put it around 0.4v above the Vcore. No I set mine to 1.71 which 0.45v above my current Vcore. It's my first time ever touching the VCCIN you see.

indeed, Vccin value follows Vcore.

Yea seems to be what everyone says. I don't know much about the VCCIO and system agent

Only touch Vccio and Vccsa during aggressive memory overclocking, in other times you can leave them on auto

VCCIN is what an Intel chip gets to the FIVR, lower it and you could see lower temps. going lower than stock can cause instability though, just like any other kind of underclocking/undervolting

Yea I'm only using 3200mhz RAM speed so I wouldn't say that was aggressive if I'm honest.

I set the VCCIN manually to 1.71v but when under load and I look at the VCCIN voltage on the software I have HWinfo64 the VCCIN goes too 1.624v so does that mean it's using less than technically what I'm saying it can have??
