I recently saw a video about the new nvidia gpus barely can hit the 60fps mark in 1080p in new games with rtx on, is this possible or just speculation?

Thats been a rumor since the launch event at Gamescon as people were playing hands on and were reporting 30-40 FPS in Ray Tracing enabled games.

its possible, but you likely wont see a dramatic increase, would say maybe 15-25% at most. With Ray Tracing being in its infancy, its also on the game developers to to truly support it since its a new technology. Nvidia doesnt really have a great track record IMO with new emerging technology.. Looking at you PHYS-X

I wanted to buy a new gen gpu, but I realised its a stupid idea because i dont care about rtx so... A 1070ti will be just fine for a while

1070ti will be perfectly fine for another 3+ years truthfully.. im sticking with my 1070 until the next gen after this most likely. You also need to remember the price increases as well as a result of shifting to the new GDDR6 memory over 5 and 5x. The cost should come down in the newer cards as production is ramped up.

People need to stop rummoring Rtx performance ffs I am sick and tired, JUST WAIT FOR THE BENCHMARKS.

That's the people that cant afford it say. Just saw a video where it says it's getting 100fps with rtx on and at 4k res and that on battlefield 5
