**Tutorial Post**

So, you wanna use your new Antlion ModMic with your nice Scarlett 2i2 or your Presonus Audiobox 22vxl but GAH! It doesn't work!

WHY? You ask? Well PHANTOM POWER of course!

But you can't just grab one of these sennheiser_549346_universal_1_8_to_1_4_912789.thumb.jpg.40c461d6b243501955b8ba6be3ca8a0a.jpg and say everything's hunkey dorey. Nuh-Uh.

That will KILL your precious ModMic. Why? Because the standard voltage for phantom power in the professional audio world is 48 Volts!

Guess how many the ModMic wants? Go on, guess.

its FIVE volts.

So here's what ya gotta do:

Go get yo self one of THESE bad mammajammas.rode_vxlr_mini_jack_to_xlr_adaptor_1358231.jpg.c3b40b484d9ed65d13b81af9c32792c0.jpg

Yeah, this puppy will take that SPICY 48v power and drop it down to a frosty 5v for your modmic. Plug that sucker into your DAC and away you go! You'll be sounding like a radio DJ from the 60's in no time!

But seriously though. Don't turn on the phantom power without this adapter. You will quickly be releasing the magic blue smoke from your mic. And then you will cry. And no one wants to be friends with a cry baby.
