I have 0-2% gpu usage on idle. I have different frames on different areas but besides that i don't think i have any fram drops

Honestly if you do not notice performance degradation, I personally wouldn't worry about.

Why not? Because it might just be a bug or an anomaly

I've had that with my old NVIDIA Quadro FX1800; it somehow always dropped power usage to below 0 or close to 0 in MSI Afterburner.

Windows's own GPU usage tool isn't perfect, so it could be a similar glitch/bug/anomaly.

The card ran fine, no issue's with it. To this day almost 2 years since I first noticed that the card still runs fine in a basic system I use when my main ones are overheating or just exporting/seeding you get the point.

Like I always say, don't take my word for it.

If you really think there is a problem, keep researching it; I'm just an outsider looking into it with minimal information ;)

When i am playing games my pc sometimes drops to 0% of gpu usage for a split second. I just cracked stuff and i am wondering if that gave me me malware. If so, is that the cause of the drops and how can i get rid of it.

Specs:

Gtx 1080 Gaming X
Evga supernova g3 650w
I7-8700k
Msi Gaming m5 z370
1 TB Samsung SSD
Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000mhz
Cryorig H7 - CPU Cooler
Noctis 450 - Case

No overheating problems

OK your display cable is plugged into GPU which is in top motherboard slot? Is there a frame/performance hit when this happens? Use windows defender and download malwarebytes free to try that too.

Malwarebytes free should do the trick.

Cracking games/software is always a serious risk, I'll be honest and say I do it but I have certain people I trust and even know personally; only from them do I take the software to basically trial it.

When the usage drops to 0%, what are the temperatures? You said no overheating problems, just want to make sure

Like @itisme911 said, do you notice a drop in performance?

Besides that open task manager, and check what is using your GPU.

On Windows 10 1803 you can, make sure nothing unusual is happening like some cryptominer running in the background using 80% of that GTX1080.
