I have the Linux Ubuntu ISO file and could de-iso it into files. I would like to have a Bootable USB of the files. It says on disk utility that the computer thinks the USB is not Bootable. It is in MS-DOS FAT32 format and copying the files onto it doesn't work. Neither does any ISO into Bootable file app work since I have broken two USBs already. I would like to either put it onto the USB or onto an APFS partition, but I couldn't find anything that helps. Please help me get Linux, thank you.

If you have a touchbar MacBook Pro unfortunately you won't be able to run Linux. They're not supported for the time being. You also can't install Linux to a APFS partition, you need to create a separate partition on your Mac for Ubuntu to install to. If your disk uses Encrypted APFS, you'll need to completely wipe your drive to repartition.

To make a bootable Ubuntu USB, use Unetbootin.

Doesn't work, it cannot find a USB, also, I got Ubuntu with VirtualBox, I just wanted to overclock, so I need a regular version.

Overclock? On a Mac? By all means, don't. The cooling capacity doesn't allow for that.

And if it can't find the USB, then something is wrong with the stick. Make sure it's fully formatted as FAT32/exFAT and that is has a GPT partition table (GUID). Disk utility can do this for you.

1st - Getting to boot from the USB on MacBooks can be problematic. That depends what Mac you exactly have.

2nd - Do you want to install Ubuntu on the internal drive? Do you want to dual-boot or replace macOS? This decides, what actions need to be done regarding the drive. You can't just install it next to macOS with nothing, you need to create necessary partitions.

3rd - Why do you need Ubuntu? Is virtual machine not going to satisfy your needs?

Not possible. The internal firmware does not allow overclocking AFAIK.

Use a proper virtualization tool, like VMware Fusion or Parallels.
