Need help with DNS-Entry

djboy6480

Hi guys,
its my first time owning a domain and i have a couple questions.
My main Problem is I have a Server running Plex, IIS and
a Custom Application all on different ports and I want to give each appliction a subdomain.
so for example:

   plex.domain.com         to  10.10.10.10:32400
   web.domain.com         to  10.10.10.10:443
   custom.domain.com    to  10.10.10.10:444

Is there any way to get this to work at best without a redirecting server or multiple public IPs

An A-Record should do the job. It will forward every port to the IP and the server already handles what programs respond to what ports.

Otherwise look into SRV Records.

Edit:
A good practice when using an A-Record is to lock down the ports on an application base

Q: How many prolog programmers does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: Yes.

AFAIK, you can't use ports when dealing with A records. An A record is nothing but a dumb translation from a domain name to an IP-address. Port forwarding has to be done on the network the webservers and applications are on.

That's for local network routing only, that won't work over the internet.
