Problems with new 1060

jsmith01

Hi,

I just bought a 1060.

I'm running it in a system which previously had a Radeon HD 6750 (quite an upgrade :)).

I'm trying to use an HD TV as my monitor through DVI.

When I boot it displays fine (motherboard logo, POST) until Windows initializes the graphics drivers. Then I get an input format not supported message on the TV.

The only way I have found to make it work is if I also run the HD6750 as a secondary graphics card, with a DVI cable plugged into it but not plugged into a monitor, and when windows starts I press Win + P and mess around with the arrow keys until I get to the extend screen option. Then it magically works. If I unplug the DVI cable from the HD6750 I get the input format not supported again.

I'm running the latest drivers and Win 8.1 (can't upgrade due to company policy.)

Any ideas?

Try to clean uninstall GPU drivers with DDU in safe mode - you can use your integrated GPU for video output. Then try to place your 1060 and see if there is success. Good luck!

Also sounds like you are running an unsupported resolution and refresh rate.

I was thinking the same thing.
