at the worst, could i build on a big mat on carpet?

Do you have a wooden table or something like that?

What are these for?

Uhh...I'd rather not.

Don't you have a table? Tile floor?

i do it's just my parents don't want me to mark the floor with the case. would a towel on the floor/table be okay or no?

Furry materials, wool, etc are a nono as they could cause you to build up static electricity and zap your components to death.

Modern hardware is pretty resistant to this....but, call me overly cautious but I'd rather not accidentally kill my expensive components when it could've been easily avoided.

Besides, how would the case mark the floor?

hmmm so you would not put heavy PC on carpet coz carpet mark?

your question is where to place the completed build or where to start building??

it take half a day at most for most first time builders, wont leave any marks.

If you mean where to place pc, may be under your montior? desk? on wall

building on a carpet or towel is a bad idea because of potential for static electricity. Maybe cut up some cardboard and build on top of that on your table. @adzygamer15
