If Win 7 works for now, just stick with that.  Windows 10 offers some useful things, but also comes with more problems as most people will attest to (although personally I haven't really had any big issues), so whether it makes sense for you is up to you.  At some point you will have to switch though because Win 7 is nearing end of life (just over a year away now) which means it won't get security updates any more.

Personally, I would opt for 7 everytime.

Too much "call home" reporting in 10. 7, at the moment, is still a decent enough OS and most if not all bugs have been worked out of it so it is pretty stable too.


Just my opinion, other opinions may well be very different.

I've had plenty of issues with W10 since moving (pretty close to the initial release), but in the last few months it has become very stable for me, with basically no issues. I'd say we're at the point where it no longer has noticeably more problems than W7.
