So I got my new PC parts today and I'm postitive I've connected it correctly "clearly not" I watch a build log when I was getting stuch with bits. I just can't figure out what I have done wrong, everything looks like it's connected correctly, Motherboard lights up when I turn the PSU but when I try to turn the PC on by the power switch nothing is happening, I've tried reconning ram, cpu, my cooler and all the pins and nothing seems to work. Hopefully you guys can help me out because I'm close to just giving up, been at it for the last 5 hours, researching ect.

PC parts are the following:

Nzxt h500

Asus z370 strix f

Intel i7 8700k

Corsair vengeance 16GB @3000

Gtx MSI 1060 6GB

Nzxt kraken x52

2x 500GB ssd's

Evga 650 GQ PSU

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Try using the screwdriver method to turn it on (use a screwdriver to short the pins for the power button on the motherboard) to see if it might be the power button connector not being seated well. Also check that the cables are in all the way (This happened to me a few months ago and it was really annoying to find out after a couple hours of troubleshooting).

Tried that and no luck, thanks though.

So none of the fans spin either? That makes me think maybe PSU is to blame. Are there any error lights on your motherboard?

Also is there anything to indicate it was once working, did the fans ever spin or did your build ever turn on properly?

No fans spin, only thing that happens is that the RGB lights come on, on the motherboard and a little organge light. I looked up the little orange light and it just indacates that there is power to the motherboard.

Can you try running the system with only 1 stick of RAM, unplug GPU and run on Integrated Graphics instead? Even though the light says the motherboard is getting power, nothing else is...

Yeah I've tried that, I found a pc building company near me, phoned them and they're gonna have a look at it.
