Steam Library Issues

I currently use a 128GB micro SD card to store my easier to run games (I know it's not ideal but I had it laying around), and I've run into the issue where I can't transfer it to another computer or even remove and reinsert it into my computer without having to delete and reinstall all of my games. I've tried setting up the correct folder on it as a library before ever launching a game, and it still makes me reinstall. How can I fix this? Or can I fix it at all?
