First Gaming PC Build

Dei

Hello everyone,

I wanted to set up my own PC since about 4 years ago and now I have the possibility to do it, but I want to do it correctly (it will be for gaming, with possibility to build an SLI in the future). For now I'm using an laptop that is like 5 or 6 years old and can't play any of the new games. So this is the configuration for my project, and I would like to hear your opinion about it, or/and any suggestions:

Thanks!

This will quite obviously work just fine.

But I really wouldn't advice buying a 8700k if you're pairing it with "only" a GTX 1070 or 1070 Ti. Thats a waste of cpu power. You could very easily get a 8600k and spend the 100$ you safed on the cpu on a GTX 1080 instead. Would get you better FPS for sure.

For now I don't want to spend more than 2000. Better in what? More power?

I just want get a solid base for future upgrades, as I mentioned in future I'm thinking to add another GTX1070. It's really worth go for 1080 instead of 1070 (I mean for the performance/price)?

Everything looks fine but i do agree with @black0utm1rage with getting the 8600k and use the extra 100 for the 1080

Not neccesarly, but with the currebt budget he can get a better PSU and 750 watts i cutting it a bit close in terms of SLI for my liking.

Done some tweaks that are still within the same price you posted. The changes are posted by me above

Edit: it includes a popular version of the 1080 to get SLI in the future

He can allready afford a 1080 with the currebt budget. Dropping down on the CPU would be a waste when he can save money in so many other locations

He can forinstance allready get SLI into his system. Though personally i would avoid SLI as it is a dying feature
