I've been running my laptop (Windows 7 x64 Ultimate) along with a secondary 21.5" Philips display just fine. Today, I decided to buy a new 27" screen (an LG one, shouldn't matter), so I could use 3 monitors in extended mode.

I have the standard Intel HD Graphics and an Nvidia Geforce 650M.

Now, I seem to be having issues with the display adapters. I can't use all 3 monitors at the same time (when in Screen resolution, the 21.5" is "disconnected" and I cannot connect it).

I noticed all monitors are "installed" on the Intel HD Graphics adapter.

Is there a way to shift them to my Geforce adapter, so I can use all 3 of my monitors?

If you need more information, feel free to ask.

EDIT: forgot to mention, the 21.5" connects through VGA, the 27" through HDMI.

What CPU are you using? and what Igpu?

Trippe monitor may not be available per: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033714.htm

What three independent display configurations are supported?

In most cases, three independent displays are supported in the following configurations:

If two of the displays are DisplayPort* monitors

If one of the displays is an Intel® Wireless Display (Intel® WiDi)

If the built-in display is an Embedded DisplayPort1 (eDP)

I'm using the Intel Core i7-3610QM, not sure what you mean with lgpu... (Sorry, I'm very tired...) I have an MSI Geforce GT 650M in my laptop, if that helps...

According to the Intel website you provided, I should check the connector type of my Built-in Display. I can't find it for some reason...

My original question was if I could set the "parent" of my displays to my 650M, instead of the Intel HDG. Would that be possible?

I thing you might have to use other connections it can be that two monitors on the two connectors you are using are not supported. If you have a displayport try to get a splitter and run both the screens of the dp.

Sadly enough, I only have a VGA and an HDMI port on my laptop... And according to the website ionbasa provided, my current setup should work (provided my built-in display is using eDP, which I can't seem to check)

Every laptop has a bios but they are different in the keys you input to enter..what is your labtop model?

I think you misunderstood me... I know I have a BIOS, and I checked it already. I just can't find a Boot Graphics Adapter option of some sorts.

I can try it, but wouldn't that not give me any image at all? At least until I restart in Safe Mode

Try disable it from. Device mangment.(right click on my computer then mange)

That won't work as you are using most likely using Nvidia Optimus: http://www.nvidia.com/object/optimus_technology.html

The CPU has a built in 'onboard graphics", (iGPU). The 650M only gets used when the nvidia driver detects a program like a game is running.

Also it seems it wont work. The link I posted said that at least two monitors need to be through display port in order to get triple monitor running

The table does mention something like VGA + HDMI + eDP (my Built-In display)... Do you happen to know another way I could check the connector type of my monitor?

Also, sorry if it seems I'm rambling or something... I just find it so dumb my triple monitor setup isn't working...

You can't do this. Won't work. Dual monitor is the best you are going to get. Sorry :(
