I am looking to build my first pc. I want to using it for gaming and other small things. I have done some research for this and I have been looking at the following parts. I would like some advice as whether these are the best options.

I'm looking for a red and black m-itx build

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/chN4ZR

CPU - Ryzen 2600x - I chose this cpu because that is what i think fits best in what I use it

GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB - I chose this gpu due to color

Mobo - Asus - ROG Strix B450-I Gaming Mini ITX AM4 -  It has wi-fi and RGB

Ram - G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory - 16 Gb is the minimum and is fast and compatible with Ryzen

Storage - Samsung - 860 Evo 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive - store things

Case - NZXT - H200 (Black/Red) Mini ITX Tower Case - love at first sight I love the format

Power Suply - Absolutely no idea about this, so I saw maybe between 500w or 650w, and I liked it to be SFX to help with air flow

Monitor - I'm undecided between these two - 1080p Asus - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pHGj4D/asus-rog-swift-pg248q-240-180hz-monitor-rog-swift-pg248q or  1440p https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cdcMnQ/asus-rog-swift-pg278qr-270-2560x1440-144hz-monitor-pg278qr but I'm open to other suggestions and ideas, will be g-sync really worth the price

Keyboard - i like the ones from corsair, logitech and coler master, maybe with a bit of RGB ;)

Mouse and Headphones - I'll keep my old ones, I'm happy with it for now.

 Budget ~ 2000

Perhaps in the future, put more storage in the form of an HDD, buy more fans or maybe an aio, and nzxt hue + to get more colorful

Also I need help on what to do after mounting the hardware, how should I proceed, this will be my first build, how to install the OS and the drives and I have to do something else?
Thanks in advance for any help.

2600 instead of 2600x. All that X brings is precision boost overdrive, basically an auto-overclocking tool (that's nowhere near as good as manual overclocking). I wont spend that extra for it.

CPU: i7-2600K 4751MHz 1.44V (software) --> 1.47V at the back of the socket Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (BCLK: 103.3MHz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 RAM: Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000) GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual (Super Jetstream vbios, +70(2025-2088MHz)/+400(8.8Gbps)) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (main boot drive), Transcend SSD370 128GB PSU: Seasonic X-660 80+ Gold Case: Antec P110 Silent, 5 intakes 1 exhaust Monitor: AOC G2460PF 1080p 144Hz (150Hz max w/ DP, 121Hz max w/ HDMI) TN panel Keyboard: Logitech G610 Orion (Cherry MX Blue) with SteelSeries Apex M260 keycaps Mouse: BenQ Zowie FK1

Model: HP Omen 17 17-an110ca CPU: i7-8750H (0.125V core & cache, 50mV SA undervolt) GPU: GTX 1060 6GB Mobile (+80/+450, 1650MHz~1750MHz 0.78V~0.85V) RAM: 8+8GB DDR4-2400 18-17-17-39 2T Storage: HP EX920 1TB PCIe x4 M.2 SSD + Crucial MX500 1TB 2.5" SATA SSD, 128GB Toshiba PCIe x2 M.2 SSD (KBG30ZMV128G) gone cooking externally, 1TB Seagate 7200RPM 2.5" HDD (ST1000LM049-2GH172) left outside Monitor: 1080p 126Hz IPS G-sync

Cinebench R15 Single thread:168 Multi-thread: 833

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

Should get an actual ITX case or at least one with actual air flow like a Define Nano C I think...?

Get a 500GB SSD and use the money saved to upgrade to an R7 chip, more cores is more fun.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Thanks for the help, so I should change the 2600x by not x version.
I would also like help on the rest of the components and if the construction is correct and on the psu and peripherals.

The 8 core R7 1700 costs less than that 6 core R5 2600X. Or if 6 cores is enough then swap it out to the R5 2600 as mentioned above.

I will keep the 6 cores.

I really like the h200

other things look fine to me. I (and @Streetguru in that matter) dont understand why people like mITX cases that arent that small from the start. Sure it's smaller than the H500 (ATX version of H200), but it's still bigger than proper mini cases like the Thermaltake Core V1 and Fractal Design Node 202. This means while you dont get to save much space, you sacrificed the ability to use ATX motherboards, the most common type of board out there.

The somewhat restricted airflow and not actually very ITX form factor doesn't make much sense to me, are you sure there's not a case with better airflow or that's actually compact you wouldn't prefer?

That literally makes zero sense, but it is your money. Of course if you are dropping down to the non x 2600 then fine.

The 2600 has the potential to hit near 4.4ghz and be better for gaming, an R7 1700 is more likely limited closer to 4ghz. Unless one really needs the 8 cores.

You just contradicted your earlier statement.....

For the same price I would take the extra cores. Of course if he wants to save the $40 - $50 by going with the R5 2600 then fair enough.

Meant the R7 2700, hence save money on the SSD.
