So I'm building a PC for a friend, he bought a cheap case with RGB fans built in and the hub is very confusing and we can't get the RGB to work.

There's a hub, with 4 fans connected, then there's a molex cable coming out of it, that's plugged into the power supply and the fans spin. Then there's another 2 pin cable coming out of the hub, which is labelled "power led" but I have no idea where to plug it.

Any ideas?

It's possible the 2 pin wants to go into a fan header for power, which would be odd. What is the name if this cheap case and/or fan hub? It would help to know.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

It's called the Kolink Observatory RGB.

The problem with it is, it's a male 2 pin connector and the motherboard has only male fan headers. Maybe if I get an adapter it would work?

I just looked up a video to see how it works. It looks like there's a remote included to control the LEDs, and possibly buttons somewhere on the controller hub. The "LED power" cable is to power an additional LED strip you can plug into it.
