hi everyone,

Right now i have a pc thats  5 years old, i would like to upgrade it. Right know i think about upgrading the: Cpu, Gpu, motherboard and RAM-memory. I would like to keep using my old PSU, but I don't know if it is compatible with my new setup. What i would like to know is: If it is possible to keep my old Psu? and if it seems like a good setup?

CPU                =  Intel core i5-8600

Motherboard   = MSI B360 Gaming Plus

GPU                = Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 GAMING 8GB ( I prefer Nvidia, but i got a freesync monitor).

RAM                = G.Skill Aegis F4-3000C16D-16GISB

(old) PSU        = Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 550W

Thank you,

-Pablo

I'd get a newer PSU.

Corsair RM550x is rather cheap.

Give serious thought to a new psu. If budget permits something like a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold or Corsair RMx, 550W or 650W would be great. Corsair TXM, Seasonic Focus Gold, or Evga G1+ are decent lower cost alternatives. If even those are too expensive the Corsair CX550M and Cooler Master MasterWatt 550 are reasonable low cost alternatives.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
