need help knowing if server bord has some propriotary conections S5520HC

Go to solution Solved by Alec M,

Those are normal PSU connectors.

It needs two eight pin connectors though, which mans if you go dual CPU you need to get a server PSU or get some kind of splitter.

Either way you'll need a decent PSU.

Also FYI you'll also need windows 10 pro to use both CPUs, windows 10 home only supports a single CPU.

need help with my next do all computer thinking of putting x5680 x2 on Intel® Server Board S5520HC this bord . but dont know if it will take regular psu. i need and want atleast 8 cores moherboard + cpu for under 200 dollars and it will be best to have ddr3 memory if you have any suggestions tell me :)

600W should be just fine.

As for RAM, I'm pretty sure you'll have to get ECC ram, which if you look hard enough on ebay, you can get 16GB for around $20.

Any DDR3 ECC will do.

Definitely sounds like yours is bad.

Sounds great!

That's an amazing motherboard too, so you should be able to overclock your CPU if you want to.

Also, what are you planning on using as a CPU cooler?

Those look great, you might even be able to overclock a bit with them.
