580 or 1060 ???

LegendFrosty

Hello! I am planning to build my first pc and i ran into a problem with gpu's because GTX 1060 6gb is a (by my opinion) better performing card than RX 580 4gb i cant decide which card should i get? gtx 1060 6gb is about 80$ more than rx 580 4gb.

Spend 80$ more if you can and want to get the 1060

Save 80$ if you can't spend it and take the 580

It would be best if you could spend the extra $80 the get the gtx 1060. It is ultimately the more future-proof card. If you can't pay the extra, the 580 would probably do just fine.

Not really I would wait until the gtx 2000 series get on shelves on november so then you could probably pick a 1070 or even 1080 used for the same price I guess, that would be a smart move just avoid crypto mining cards (they been running 100% usage all the time)
But thats might look off topic but acutally i am just sayin that money wise, this option seems way better and probably better performance as well

Then you are posting way too early bro things will change this fall.

You wanna get either a used 1000 serie (like 1080, people will sell them to buy the new ones, and sometimes you can find people who just wanan do that quick xD)

Or just wait for prices adjustment to get some rebate on your 1060 or even maybe a 1070 will be the price of a 1060 (maybe ?)

Again all this is mostly speculations but kinda what will happens.. probably xD
