Really weird (random) POST problem, pls read

Ok,
specs: i5 4590

mobo:gigabyte b85-hd3

R9 290, wd10ezex 1TB, 2x8 GB sticks of hyper x RAM, PSU: xfx TS 650w

owned the PC for 4 years, treat it rly well, regular dust cleaning and thermal paste replacement.

suddenly one day PC wont Post/boot, there isnt that one beep from mobo speaker, rather the speaker makes quiet tick sound every 3 sec. I didnt install or change a thing.

already done troubleshooting:

i followed sticky "no post guide",

changed Ram placement in every possible combination, cleared CMOS,

tried using iGPU, tried brand new PSU,upon visual inspection there is no damage of any kind on MOBO, and even reinstalled the whole PC outside of the case. nothing helped

if i dont put any ram into mobo, mobo beeps like it should

now The Best part

pc sometimes posts and boots into windows, regardless of what i changed.

in my statistics there is around 10% chance of PC booting, pure fucking RNG.

that time i entered the bios, checked every single thing , all was lookibg fine, restarted pc entered windows launched and played a demanding game, no problems, i was like, great.

But, i decided to shut down pc and boot it back up just to check. boom, pc wont post, just like b4, and i didnt change a thing.

so pls if anyone thinks he is knowlagable try to solve this one , ty

Yeh, what @HZapperz said, might be a faulty cap or power supply. + Since your build is 4 years old, try visiting a local PC-focused store, they would let you (IF THEY'RE NICE ENOUGH) to swap & troubleshoot parts to narrow down the problem either for free or a few couple of bucks.

@Vengeance1020 I know that. I said troubleshoot parts with an S. There's a lot of variable and factor that can lead to a PC not posting, it'll be best to try things out and see for a cheaper price instead of just buying new hardware and hoping it would work w/o knowing the root of the problem.

Probably a failed component on the motherboard. I would visually inspect your electrolytic capacitors(ones that look like a drum) and make sure none of them have bulge or a are leaking anything. As others have said it most likely a cap, but you could also have another component go bad like a resistor. Also check the bottom of your motherboard as you could have corrosion which could cause an intermittent signal. I doubt your motherboard is under warranty, but I would check as you may be able to get a replacement since I know some mobo manufactures still/once offer(ed) long term warranties.
