Greetings, since I've cursed at MS support for various things in past, thought I might ask this here first. My primary e-mail doesn't seem to be receiving mails at all. No junk mails, no focused, no other, no nothing. I have about 250 mails in my inbox so it's not full. I know this is a bit too vague with this much information but, opinions?

Are you logging in to the web client at hotmail.com or outlook.com, or are you using an email client like Thunderbird or Outlook desktop app? Can you login to other @hotmail.com emails you (or family members) have and receive emails there OK?

Have a bunch of friends send test emails to you from yahoo, gmail, and other hotmail addresses. Also be sure to check that you don't have any filters or rulesets enabled in the setting on Outlook.com that might be deleting or redirecting emails.

I'm logged in to my mail from my phone and Windows 10 Mail, they're both not getting mails. I sent myself couple mails, and I get couple mails every day but since the past 2 days I haven't been getting any. I'll try to send one from my Gmail, but I also think some setting or something might be deleting / directing mails. How do I go through that?

what about the outlook.com site? Can you receive mails there?

I know that hotmail is quite slow compared to others like Gmail, but it shouldnt be lagging behind for days

Just ordered some distilled water for my loop to see if a confirmation of it will come to my mail, and yes while I've gotten the mail from outlook.com, I got it pretty late on my Moto Z Outlook and still haven't gotten anything on Win 10 Mail. Guess it's time to get rid of this POS and direct mails to my Gmail, but I have the account linked to a lot of shopping sites and such. Oh well.

Boom! There's your problem - the Windows 10 mail app is a piece of shit sometimes acts up, requiring you to delete and re-add your email account, and whatever app you're using on your phone clearly isn't syncing fast enough.

I personally use my hotmail email through the gmail app on my OnePlus 5T, but even that sync's only ever 15-30 minutes. I'm sure there's a way to force it to sync immediately, however, I value having a battery that actually lasts through at least 1 whole day (rare among most smartphones today, after you load them up with syncing apps) so I haven't bothered to change the sync frequency / settings.
