What is Cryix?

I was looking through my stash of old tech from the 90s, and saw a processor with the brand name Cryix. I looked up the name but was met with a wow character. Does anyone know what it is?

Cyrix. They made x86 processors to compete with Intel and AMD. They were bought out by VIA in the early 2000's.
