So I have a custom built PC. See link https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JpwC8Y. One day it started booting slowly now sometimes it boots for 20-30 seconds and then shutsdown sometimes but boots others and it's sloooow to boot. The Intel(R) Management Engine failed. I tried to fix it by uninstalling it in the device manager and reinstalling it and updating it both manually and automatically. I even updated and reverted then re updated the Mobo bios. Still won't boot to login screen every time and the Intel(R) Management Engine is just not working. I do notice once I get to the login screen things aren't as slow it's mostly during the windows loading screen.

This is my first build had it like 2 years now.

Any help at all would be awesome.

On a separate note: how loud does your PC get with those Noctua Industrials? I had a set of three, but I couldn't keep them from hitting max speeds without an adapter so I got rid of em.

I have the controller so it's not quiet by any means but I can turn the RPM up and down don't need to keep it at 3000.

Does that help you remedy it? Was it an overclock with not enough power?

I thought about getting a controller, but my application for the fans was kind of a ghetto rigged setup so I decided to sell them. I bought em used to try so not a big loss. They definitely move a ton of air.

My Mobo since all this started happening several months ago had it's bios reset nothing has been OC'ed. Nothing's been modified.

So I downloaded the IME drivers from my Mobo's webpage but every time I install them they don't stick or windows updates them.

But I guess with device power failure the driver version wouldn't matter right? I have no idea honestly. This is way out of my wheel house and as I said I haven't OC'ed anything I reset my mobo's bios settings just back to factory. I even come in like 200ish watts under my PSU's limit.

So I need some serious help. Does anyone know if the Intel(R) Management Engine Interface not working would have something to do with post code error 6F on my ASRock mobo?  Sometimes my computer will boot for like 30 seconds and then shutdown and I get the post code 6F. I've read it sounds memory related. In the Intel(R) Management properties it says Device Power Failure.

a code 6F is a chipset error and this is a deeper issue than your software issue.

Quote

60-91 Chipset initialization error. Please press reset or clear CMOS.

source user manual. you'll need to submit a support ticket with ASRock to remedy/RMA the motherboard.

first things to do with chipset errors is to disconnect basically all i/o sata/usb devices that are not critical to operation.

possibility one hardware device is failing chipset control.

I have both RAM sticks installed but only one is recognized.I think there might be a bad RAM slot.
