Hello All,

Ive noticed my GPU (1080 Founders) seems really warm, right now playing wow ~97% load im seeing 84-85 degrees on my gpu.

Im wondering if i should change my fan layout/directions, or even just get new fans.

First also, these fans that came in the case have no indication of what direction the air flows. I have the rear fan facing with the label facing out of the case, i think that means its exhaust, but like i said the fans dont have any indication on them.

If thats the case, i have 2 front fans as intakes, AIO X52 fans mounted as intake (the radiator is mounted to the case, with the fans below it, PSU fan is facing down so i guess also intake. Do i have too many intake fans? What should i change to exhaust?

Also, are there some good RGB fans i can buy that are compatible with my asus aura motherboard? I havent dealt with RGB fans at all, but its a z370-e, which i think likely needs a splitter to be able to use more RGB fans, what would be the best in terms of airflow that can be controlled by aura?

Is the radiator mounted up top?  Basic thermodynamics: warm air rises, so I'd put exhaust fans at the back and/or top.

Depends a lot on your CPU cooling solution, how hot your VRMs get, how your PSU cools (if it vents into the case) etc.  I think the 1080 founders is blower card which means it exhausts out the back?

Yeah, no, that's just how hot founder's cards get in a standard atx case.

In itx, it's different because you can get that sweet vertical mount for easy breathing in most cases, but look forward to 80-90 celcius. There's a reason fans are so popular.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

I don't think there'd be a problem with it.  My temps are fine with PSU intaking from bottom and venting out back, two intake fans in front, three exhaust fans at top (radiator) and one exhaust fan at back/top pulling air across the VRMs.

Also should take into account the diameter and RPM (generally CFM) of each fan as well, i.e. a 160mm fan will move more air at the same RPM as a 120mm fan assuming fan blade design is the same (there's always variations).

GPU running that hot isn't as odd as a CPU running at that temp stock.

The only thing that might happen is that you get a little tiny bit more dust build up in your system because the air might not go through the filters in the front and just be sucked in through some holed and cracks in the case.

Sounds about right for Founders. My card is few gens older and tops at 83C while stressing and fans limited to 60%. You can add intake fan to bottom mount for helping GPU.
