Dell S2417DG Panel Replacement

Hey everyone,

 

I had a bit of an accident this morning with my monitor. Long story short, it fell and the top left corner took all the impact. As far as I know the only thing damaged is the panel itself. Picture attached will show you what happens when it is turned on.The casing seems to be fine which leads me to believe the electronics should be good too.

 

The monitor isn't even a year old. So I'm wondering if you guys and gals had any advice for me.

 

My options are:

 

1. Talk to Dell and see if they have anything they can help with
2. Try to fix it myself. I'm an electrical engineer working in IT, so it's not something I'm totally unqualified to do.

3. Swallow it and just chuck it away and save up for a new monitor.

 

Any advice or suggestions welcome.
