Overwatch having performance issues

Go to solution Solved by Ashiella,

I FIGURED IT OUT! You forgot to install nvidia drivers. 7bc1f5a121f6e414828e184d2ffbd676.png

If you did install drivers, use DDU to uninstall them and then install the nvidia drivers again.

Hello,

I recently just purchased overwatch for my PC. I have a relatively new gaming pc with a GTX 1080, 32gb DDr4 Ram, and a core i7 7800k. As you can tell, these specs should be able to run overwatch easily. Instead, when I open the game the graphics are blurry and everything is laggy (even in the lobby). For some reason the text looks fine though. I have pretty good internet that should be able to handle gaming. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks,

Mitch

You mean 7700k or 7800x?

What are the settings? Sometimes games default to weird settings.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Yes?

FPS limit is on and is at 30fps, render scale is also at 33% making it slow and blurry.

Whenever I try to raise the render scale the quality goes up but everything gets even slower.

Have you tried turning off the fps limit?

Ok, I have put render scale at 100% and frame rate cap at 300. It has good quality now and is a little faster but still probably unplayable. Are there any other settings I should change?

go into the practice range and see what fps you get.

Sir... SIR! SIR!!! You seem to be missing graphics drivers, or maybe are using the integrated graphics from your motherboard...

Yep, that's exactly it! I just re-installed my Nvidia drivers with DDU and restarted numerous times. Overwatch is still not recognizing my graphics card though and is instead using integrated graphics, which explains why my CPU load is at 100%. But how do I get it to recognize it now?
