Phone Cases

So I'm looking into getting/designing a custom phone case. Anybody have comments about using a TPU vs Silicone for a two part case? What level of protection do you guys normally get, what has been the best case you've bought? Focus on durability/protection, use, size, convenience for daily use, feel in hand, etc.

I would say it's very subjective as everyone has their own liking and idea of what will work for them.

 

I'm probably going to be an outlier in this but personally I'm not a fan of TPU or silicone cases and try to look for ones that have little to no plastic on them. Usually ones with an aluminum band around the phone or using composite materials instead like G10 or carbon fiber.

Do you just use a case with the edges or do you usually use a case with a back panel? How well do they usually protect your phone, against flat drops, corners, edges and what kind of heights?
